The DiSC theory measures your inherent communication style, but everyone is a mixture of each style and can toggle depending on situations. DiSC assessments place individuals into 4 main communications styles. It is possible to have a blended style, placing somewhere between two styles (Di, iD, iS, Si, SC, CS, CD, DC).

The four main types are as follows:

D- Dominance

Have you ever had a highly competitive coworker? They might have been a D. D style communicators are action and results focused. They come off as confident and assertive to those around them, but some mind find them to be impatient and insensitive.

i- Influence

If someone came up to you at a networking event and started sharing excitement and enthusiasm, they might be an i type. I style communicators are true social butterflies. You might find that they are full of big ideas and charisma, while others might think they lack follow through and organization.

S-Steadiness

Have you noticed that one friend who constantly offers their help and support? They are likely an S type. S Style communicators enjoy stability and collaboration, often taking on extra tasks to achieve harmony. They are patient and calm, but can be viewed as indecisive and conflict avoidant.

C- Conscientiousness

Do you have a go-to coworker for editing your work and checking for accuracy? You guessed it, they might be a C. C style communicators crave knowledge and are lifelong learners. They do not like being wrong, so they research and analyse new ways of doing things beforehand. C's can provide great learning feedback, but may seem too critical and nit-picky.

Everything DiSC® offers end-to-end learning experiences that have immediate and lasting impact on the performance of people and the cultures of organizations. Each Everything DiSC® personality assessment combines adaptive testing and sophisticated algorithms to deliver precise insights to each participant. These insights lay the groundwork for a personalized experience rich with “A-ha!” moments that inspire behaviour change.

The personalized content in the profile deepens self-understanding through the DiSC® model. Communicators gain insight into their own preferences and tendencies, learn more about relating to others, and receive actionable strategies to help them improve their interactions and ultimately, their performance. These tools can be applied in leadership, sales, conflict resolution, and general workplace communication.

The profile is one piece, but facilitation is where the magic happens. The profile comes to life in a classroom experience that engages and educates. Botree applies new technologies and methods to make the most of your profile.

DiSC makes an impact in the way people communicate with each other. It fosters a sense of understanding, of both yourself and others. We use DiSC when we work on new projects, work together to overcome an obstacle, and even just for casual conversations.
